Q + A: Often asked questions from brides

October 1, 2017

As an artist I'm frequently asked the same questions about bridal makeup, what, how, shall I? So here's a few questions I often come across and what I would suggest.

Can I have a trial before I pay my deposit?

Of course you can. I prefer to do a trial before any commitments.

What is a bridal look?

I'm all about personality, being who you are and not going for something that isn't you. So how do you wear your makeup day to day and of an evening, find the balance in between and add a little sparkle.

How do I prep my skin for my big day?

Preping the skin is key, it will help with the makeup application giving you a smoother base which'll help the makeup last from day to night. Exfoliating the skin 1-2 times a week will help the skins surface, removing any dead skin cells helping the skins renewal which in turn will help with skin brightening and scarring. Use a face tonic or toner that is suited to your skin type, this will help with the skins hydration and imperfections. A day and night moisturiser or if you prefer instead of a night moisturiser opt for a serum or oil, hydration is so important and on that note drink up ladies.

I have sensitive skin, what skin care products do you use?

I use a range of products to suit all skin types, a trial will help tell what is best for your skin. If unsure I can always use your skin care products.

Shall I have a day and night look?

If you like, it's your day do what you want girl! I would!!!

Will my makeup last?

If you have prepped your skin weeks before and the right skin care products are used before makeup application, yes it will.

What should I carry in my wedding clutch?

Oooo your fave lippy or gloss, blotting papers and a refill tube of your fave spritz.

Shall my bridesmaids have the same look?

I do like it when the bridesmaids carry the same look, you just have to pick the right one to suit all skin tones, hair and eye colour. Referring back to personalities I also love it when everyone shows off who they are, because you may have a rock n roll friend but also a bohemian and in pics this would look pretty cool.

What products do you use?

I use a range of products, from Chrlotte Tilbury, The Ordiary, Becca cosmetics, Zoeva, Anastasia Beverly Hills and much more.

Should I wear false eye lashes?

Again it's who you are, don't change that. If you are a super natural girl why wear them? Remember why your partner fell for you, it wasn't for those false lashes. Be true to who you are!

Do you include lashes in the makeup cost?

No, they are a added cost.

Do you also do hair up?

No, but I have plenty of recommendations.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes, I charge for mileage and parking.

I hope these questions and answers have helped, if you have any other questions do not hesitate to contact me via the contact form or via any social link.
